An Open Letter To Will Patton...
This is an emergency!
Dear Mr. Patton:
There have been troubling rumors that you will not be narrating James Lee Burke’s next Dave Robicheaux series book, Clete (Atlantic Monthly Press, 2024).
Yours is the voice of James Lee Burke and all of his characters. Please consider that this series will not continue to be written forever. It will come to an end and any other narrator for Mr. Burke’s work would be anathema.
If you are considering not narrating Clete, then I ask you to reconsider. You owe that to your listeners.
